How to Read

Understanding the Comparison

Relative Cost

Low-cost materials (ABS, PP, HDPE, Aluminum 6061, Steel 1018) are suitable for high-volume production. High-cost materials (PEEK, Titanium, LCP) are reserved for demanding applications where performance justifies the premium.

Heat Deflection & Service Temp

Heat Deflection Temperature (HDT) is measured at 0.45 MPa. Service temperature is the continuous-use limit. Always design with a safety margin of 20-30 C below the listed value.

Corrosion & Chemical Resistance

Corrosion ratings are relative to common environments (moisture, salt, mild acids). For aggressive chemical exposure, consult material datasheets or request a compatibility review from our engineers.
